The Conference of the Parties in its decision 5/CP.17 adopted the initial guidelines for the formulation of national adaptation plans (NAPs) as contained in the annex to that decision. It requested the Least Developed Countries Expert Group (LEG) to prepare technical guidelines for the national adaptation plan (NAP) process based on the initial guidelines. The LEG prepared and published in the technical guidelines in 2012. The technical guidelines are available in five languages - Arabic, English, French, Portuguese and Spanish.
