The SBSTA is to elect its Vice-Chair. The current Vice-Chair Carol Franco will remain in office until her successor is elected.

The SBI and the SBSTA agreed to forward this matter to CMA 7 for consideration under its agenda sub-item 4(a) on the basis of the draft text prepared by the co-facilitators for the relevant agenda items at these sessions. The SBI and the SBSTA recognized that the draft text includes divergent views, has not been agreed upon, does not reflect consensus, is not exhaustive, has no formal status, is open to revision and does not prejudge further work or prevent Parties from expressing any further views.

The SBSTA and the SBI Chair propose to forward this matter to the CMA at its seventh session for further consideration as an SB Chair’s proposal on the basis of the text published on 15 November on the UNFCCC website, reflecting the following editorial corrections to the text that was posted to the UNFCCC website on 14 November at 13:41.
- In paragraph 8, the semi colons were replaced with commas, and the word “nor” was added in the third and fourth lines.
- In paragraph 10, the second “new” was deleted
This text is forwarded as a proposal by the Chairs of the subsidiary bodies, which includes divergent views, has not been agreed upon, does not reflect consensus, is not exhaustive, has no formal status, is open to revision and does not prejudge further work or prevent Parties from expressing any further views.
The SBSTA deferred consideration of this matter to SBSTA 64.

The SBSTA and the SBI agreed to forward this matter to the governing body or bodies for consideration at the session(s) to be held in November 2025 taking into account the informal note prepared by the co-facilitators for these agenda sub-items at these sessions available on the UNFCCC website. They confirm that the informal note has no status and does not prejudge further work or prevent Parties from expressing views at any time. It does not represent agreement among Parties and is without prejudice to what will form the basis of negotiations

The SBI and the SBSTA considered matters relating to the implementation of the United Arab Emirates just transition work programme.
The SBI and the SBSTA agreed to forward this matter for further consideration at CMA 7, taking note of the informal note prepared by the co-chairs for the relevant agenda items at these sessions under their own responsibility, recognizing that it includes divergent views, has not been agreed upon, is not exhaustive, has no formal status, is open to revision, does not prejudge further work, prevent Parties from expressing any further views, or reflect consensus or all the views shared and proposals made by Parties.
The SBI and the SBSTA invited the CMA to take note of the exchanges of views and written inputs by Parties under these agenda items at these sessions, including Party views on the 2024 and 2025 annual summary reports on the dialogues, and invited the CMA to take into account the views and submissions of Parties in the next iteration of the informal note.

The SBI and the SBSTA could not conclude consideration of matters relating to the forum on the impact of the implementation of response measures serving the Convention, the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement at these sessions.
Parties agreed to forward this matter to COP 30, CMP 20 and CMA 7 for further guidance taking into account the draft text available on the UNFCCC website for the relevant agenda items.

Conclusions agreed as follows:
The Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA) took note of the submissions made by Parties and observers prior to the session.
The SBSTA also took note of the views expressed by Parties during this session and recognized their interest in continuing consideration of this matter.
The SBSTA agreed to forward this matter to the COP at its thirtieth session for further consideration, taking into account the text that contains the Chair’s note on the areas of interest and the submissions made during this session, available on the UNFCCC website
Substantive consultations on Article 9, paragraph 1, of the Paris Agreement to consider substantive elements regarding the implementation of Article 9, paragraph 1, were conducted and the Chairs took stock of progress on these consultations at SB 62.
The Chairs reported back on the outcomes of the consultations at the Opening Plenary. As requested, the Chairs will report back again during the session. Notification of the time of the additional report back will be provided to Parties in advance, once a time has been identified in the schedule.
