Abstract

The SBSTA expressed its appreciation to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) for the preparation of the Special Report on Land-Use, Land-Use Change and Forestry, for the IPCC special side event on the report, and for the input of the IPCC authors during the pre-sessional week of the informal meetings. It requested the secretariat to explore, in collaboration with the IPCC, the possibility of organizing a special briefing on Sunday 9 July 2000 for non-Annex I Parties participating in the SBSTA workshop in Poznan, Poland.
