Climate and Weather
In September, Baku offers mild and sunny weather, with average daytime temperatures ranging from 25°C to 28°C (77°F -82°F) and nighttime temperatures between 18°C–20°C (64°F–68°F).
Currency
The official currency of Azerbaijan is the Azerbaijani Manat (AZN). Foreign currency can be exchanged at authorized banks during standard banking hours (typically 09:00-17:00 hrs, Monday to Friday) and licensed foreign exchange points.
Credit and Debit Cards
Credit and debit cards are widely accepted in Baku. Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) are also readily available for cash withdrawals. It is advisable to carry some cash for use in small shops, traditional markets, and certain local transportation services.
Electricity
The standard electricity supply in Azerbaijan is 220 volts at 60Hz. Visitors from countries using 110–120 volts (e.g. the United States) will require a plug adapter and may also need a voltage converter depending on their devices.
