This COP 23 Presidency Event will inform decision-makers at COP23 about their human rights obligations in the context of climate change and highlight the human dimension of climate action. It also aims to increase support for integration of human rights considerations in the facilitative dialogue and relevant aspects of the negotiations of the guidelines for implementation of the Paris Agreement.

The event, convened by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Fiji and President-designate of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP 23), Hon. Frank Bainimarama, is organized with the support of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
