Objective of the Special Event

This UNFCCC special event, convened by the co-facilitators of the 2025 ocean and climate change dialogue (“the Dialogue”), Ambassador Carlos Cozendey (Brazil) and Ulrik Lenaerts (Belgium), will present and discuss the key messages from the informal summary report of the Dialogue. The event will provide a platform for Parties and observers to reflect on how these outcomes can inform relevant COP30 agenda items on the Dialogue topics and further enhance ocean-based climate ambition through the implementation of their new NDCs.
