Abstract

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is expected to submit its report Good Practice Guidance for Land Use, Land-Use Change and Forestry for consideration by the Conference of Parties at its ninth session. This report will introduce improved methodologies and new reporting categories for the land use, land-use change and forestry (LULUCF) sector. In accordance with a request by the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA), at its eighteenth
session, and in order to apply good practice guidance for the LULUCF sector, this document includes draft tables of a common reporting format for the LULUCF sector for the purpose of reporting annual greenhouse gas information under the Convention and the Kyoto Protocol.
